Welcome to our very first Driver61 QA session with Scott our Founder and resident race coach.
Today’s question is from from Andrew in London who’d like to hear how Max Verstappen was so quick in the wet in Brazil’s F1 Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen’s drive in the 2016 Brazilian GP earned him comparisons to Formula One legends like Senna and Schumacher.
But why was Verstappen so quick?
Scott talks about how to find grip in wet condition, what wet racing lines are and why they can be quicker in the rain.

In this incredible race, Max Verstappen went from a lowly 14th position after a poor strategic call to reclaim a podium, in only 16 laps. It was truly an excellent drive.
